Master Pizza Chef Idol

Your favorite pizza could send you on a holiday!

As you are probably aware, every week we feature different topping combinations as our “Pizza of the Week.”  After 5-and-a-half years and around 275 pizzas, we are handing over the reins to you.  So lodge your entry for your chance to be crowned the Master Pizza Chef Idol.

In addition to bragging rights, Stones Pizza is giving the Master Pizza Chef Idol a grand prize of a trip for two to Bali!  This competition will be run in conjunction with our facebook page, with all our facebook fans able to vote on their favorite.

Selection:

Every week we will select what we feel is the best pizza from the submissions, alternating between meat and vegetarian selections.  We will be looking for creative and commercially viable entries.  While an entry with lobster, truffle, caviar and gold leaf might gain many facebook “likes”, if it has to be sold for $500, it might not fare so well on sales points.

Scoring:

Each week’s pizza of the week will be announced prior to opening on Monday, and will continue until closing on Sunday.  Each sale will be worth 10 points, while each facebook “like” will be worth 1 point.  Facebook “likes” will be counted for the week the pizza is run, and for one week after.  Any “likes” after closing time on the second Sunday will not be counted.  Only “likes” from fans of Stones Pizza will be counted.

Rounds:

The winner in points for each Month (or every 4 weeks as we run Monday to Sunday) will go to the next round.  First round will run from June 6th to the end of December. (With only 1 a week, you didn’t think this would go quickly did you?)

This will leave us with 7 semi-finalists to which we will add one wildcard.  The wildcard entry will be the entry eliminated in the first round that we liked best - regardless of points.

The 8 pizzas will reset points then be run again over January and February with the same rules as the first round, leaving us with 2 finalists.  These two final pizzas will then run together in the final round for 2 weeks, with all sales and facebook voting ending at 10pm that Sunday night.

The Prize:

The grand prize will be two economy flights to Bali, and 5 nights accommodation staying in the beautiful Villa Mathis

There will be a prize for the runner up, but as of yet we don’t have any idea what it will be. Maybe a shoe.

Every selected entry will be entitled to one of their pizza of the week creations for free - on the week it is run of course.

The Small Print:
The grand prize consists of flights and accommodation only.  For travel between April 01 and Sept 30, 2012 and is subject to availability.
Flights depart Perth only, and all travel documents are the responsibility of the persons traveling.
Any winner under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The grand prize may be exchanged for a cash prize of one thousand dollars.
